This rarely seen area of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park is arguably Alaska's most dramatic wilderness & offers one of the few places on earth where you can hike on dry tundra directly beneath a vertical and heavily glaciated north face over 7000' tall.

Katmai National Park is home to the largest brown bear population in the world, holds the spawning grounds of literally millions of sockeye salmon, and contains the unaltered evidence of one of the world's most powerful volcanic eruptions ever recorded.

The Gros Ventre Wilderness lies directly across the valley of Jackson Hole from the rugged Grand Tetons. A scenic Rocky Mountain wonderland of thick forest, lush meadows and long, gently sloping stream valleys rising to majestic snowcapped peaks.

The northern half of the Winds' east slope is the rugged Fitzpatrick Wilderness. Here, vast glaciers and snow fields flank Wyoming's highest mountains, including 13,804-foot Gannet Peak on the Continental Divide.

On this adventure, you will hike and backpack through the woods of Vermont on the Long Trail and the summit trails just off from the long trail, experiencing the canopy of songs from wild birds in the big woods.
