Highlights

Floatplane ride into remote wilderness - stunning vistas, mountain goats, wolves, bears & bald eagle

A floatplane will drop you and your guide into a vast and untouched wilderness. Follow the Mackenzie Heritage Trail, a historical and culturally significant route, into the Bella Coola Valley. It was originally a trading route for indigenous tribes. In 1793 Alexander Mackenzie was guided along the route by local people and became the first explorer to reach the Pacific Ocean overland. The trail is in Tweedsmuir Park, a wilderness park where the trails are not maintained. The trails can be rough and streams and rivers may need to be negotiated. It is a vast and untouched wilderness and it is rare to see other people. This trip is the real deal! This trip is only suitable for those in good physical condition as it is remote hiking carrying a backpack and will involve walking on steep ground through a variety of terrain.
