This family adventure traces the path of Lewis & Clark's return voyage on the Missouri River in Montana. Guests paddle 34-foot voyageur canoes and a Lewis & Clark expert joins most trips to interpret and share information about the historic expedition.

Starting near St. Louis, we will paddle south on this huge river for almost 80 miles, camping on sandbars, exploring side channels, visiting historic attractions, stopping at points of interest, and observing wildlife and early fall color.

Abandoned settlements and sunken ship hulls recall the era of goldrushers, paddlewheelers and settlers, as they made their way up and down the Teslin, Pelly and Yukon Rivers during the Klondike Gold Rush in 1898.

North-central Montana's Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument is a spectacular landscape of sandstone cliffs, rolling sagebrush-grassland hills, colorful "badlands," and verdant riverside patches of willow and cottonwoods.
