Mountain Biking in Colorado

Highlights

From Durango through the Alpine Peaks of the San Juan's to Moab's Canyon Country & Desert Slickrock

This route follows 215-miles of secondary dirt roads from Durango, CO across the high alpine tundra of the San Juan Mountains to the desert slickrock and canyon country of Moab UT.

This route is more remote, rugged and 25% more difficult than its sister route, Telluride to Moab. It is designed for upper-intermediate riders in good physical condition. Alternate single track routes between various huts extend your trip and offer more challenges.

Though the riding is not technically difficult, cyclists must be in good physical condition. The routes are remote. Riders must have basic bike maintenance and repair skills, and carry all necessary tools for repairs. Riders are responsible for their own safety and must possess basic first aid and survival skills.

Past Traveler Feedback

"Our trip was wonderful and we all agreed that you provide a terrific service. The huts were great and the food was fabulous; we ate like kings. We would not hesitate to recommend the trip to all of our mountain biking friends, and would love the opportunity to do it again some day. We all had a great time."
