To experience the true wilderness character of Glacier National Park one must spend a night or more in its backcountry. Spend your days in subalpine and alpine meadows amongst Glacier's towering peaks.

Magical solitude, the intimate beauty of Lake Clark National Park, and classic Alaska backcountry travel - float plane-only access, wide open tundra ridge hiking, icy river crossings, trekking on glaciers, and backpacking through trail-less wilderness.

Enjoy two separate four-day treks into two separate areas of the park. On each segment, backpack 2-3 miles from a remote dirt road and set up a three-night base camp. From camp, we'll day-hike and explore the high desert mountains and colorful canyons.

The high country lakes, peaks, and passes of Yosemite are truly spectacular and on this 50 mile loop, we'll hike deep into the heart of this alpine environment. We'll travel mostly on trail and will have the opportunity to summit several peaks.
