Highlights

Discover the beautiful High Coast region on Sweden's East Coast on a bicycle.

Discover the "The High Coast" world heritage on Sweden's eastern coast on a bicycle along winding roads with breathtaking views. Enjoy a challenge uphill and a refreshing wind downhill as you pedal towards a good dinner and cozy B&B accommodations.

The tour starts and ends in Härnösand, the entrance to the High Coast, and it takes you to some of the peaks in the world heritage. Enjoy the magnificent view from the High Coast bridge, let the sea cool your feet on the smooth rocks at Rotsidan, make a discovery walk around the houses and exhibitions at Mannaminne, and tickle your taste buds with the specialty of the region, the fermented herring!

You bike on your own but all the arrangements are made in advance. We avoid the big roads and each day is about 35-45 kilometers, enough for a medium fit person and it allows you to make several stops and also to walk in the uphill.

Past Traveler Feedback

"My husband and I did this trip in June of 2005 and we absolutely loved it! The High Coast region is very picturesque and the views are spectacular. The uphills are definitely a bit of a challenge, but you're biking in the "High Coast" World Heritage Site so it's to be expected. And the downhills are long and rewarding! Great B&B accommodations and hosts along with quiet roads and beautiful views make this a favorite trip for sure!"
