Trekking Hellas, founded in 1986 by two mountain guides, is the first Greek agency specializing in outdoor holidays. Today, it is the trademark of quality in walking holidays and adventure trips in and out of Greece. Operating in the highest standards, we have made it possible for thousands of visitors to discover Greece. More than 70 people, mountain and trekking guides, drivers, pilots, river guides and kayak instructors, sailing skippers and dive masters are ready, year-round, to make your holiday an unforgettable experience. Our trips visit the most authentic and remote areas of the mainland and the islands.

Central to our philosophy is to see Greece and other Mediterranean countries at an unhurried pace. We frequently stop to admire the breathtaking view or identify a flower or a bird. Our tour leaders are experienced, approachable and have a lively interest in the Greek flora and fauna. The tour leader acts as interpreter; something that can lead to impromptu visits of an olive-press or a shepherd's house where he is making traditional feta cheese.

We all have a deep respect for the remote communities we visit, encouraging conversation with local people. We are also strongly involved in local welfare projects and in relation to university bodies we continuously monitor the impact of tourism in sensitive areas.
